For those of you that would rather hit the slopes than the beach for Spring or Winter Break we recommend a Colorado Vacation package. Whether you're into snowboarding or skiing you'll find all the powder you need for an awesome trip in Breckenridge Colorado!
Breck is one of the higher ski resort towns, located at 9,600 feet, it's far less exclusive(expensive) than say, Aspen, and there's skiing and snowboarding activities to suit all abilities. Lift tickets are good at Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Vail and Beaver Creek, giving you access to the all best in summit country. You'll want to take a stroll through this victorian style village with it's gas lampposts and historic main street dotted with great pubs, a variety of restaurants, and charming shops.
After a fun day pulling off steezy stunts on the slopes you'll want to drop by one of Breck's outstanding Pubs and restaurants such as Downstairs at Eric's. Eric's is a true pizza place complete with great food, awesome beer selection and old-school video games. They offer pitcher beer and have a great bar. Or for loud music, dancing, and large variety of drinks try out the Liquid Lounge on the 2nd level of the LaCima Mall, below Burke & Riley's Irish Pub. We also recommend the Salt Creek Steakhouse & Club. The main floor houses a restaurant where you will find tender steaks and classic American food. They slow cook their BBQ over post-oak wood and offer Barbecue platters, fresh salads, soups and desserts made daily. The second floor contains a bar and dance club that is popular for contemporary music and a wide variety of drinks.
For lodging in Breckenridge you'll definitely want to book a condo as opposed to a hotel room. There are many choices in all price ranges; enough that we couldn't possibly mention them all here. But, here's just a few of the best choices.
For those on something of a budget we'd like to make mention of Sawmill Creek Condos. It's located 20 yards from the Four O' Clock run in Breckenridge, and only a block from the dining and nightlife of Main Street and on the free shuttle route to the Snowflake Chairlift. The condo complex has two spa tubs and offers complimentary underground and surface parking. High speed Internet access is available in every unit so you can post a review on SBS about your stay. ;-)
If you wanna go all out try the Tyra Summit. It's a beautiful condominium complex tucked away amongst the trees in peace and quiet, surrounded by incredible views of the 4 O'Clock Run, the Horseshoe Bowl and Peak 8 above. When you get up, ski down the 4 O'clock Run to the Snowflakelift, where you can access Peaks 8 and 9. When you're ready to head back, ski right up to the elevator. Pretty sweet.
Also, don't forget about Pine Ridge Condos centrally located one block off of Main Street and only a three minute walk from Snowflake Ski lift. You're sure to discover true mountain hospitality at Pine Ridge Condominiums. With some of the largest condominiums in Breckenridge, you'll find a home away from home in a spacious environment that's equipped with all the comforts including hot tubs, fireplaces, washer and dryer, and even a fitness center at your disposal. A great choice.
With so many great activities and affordable lodging choices you won't be sorry you chose to make Brekenridge Colorado your Spring or Winter Break hideaway this year! To get a really great deal on an incredible vacation SBS recommends booking with Inertia Tours. They'll help you get the most outta your trip and have a memorable time you'll want to experience year after year.
